The Beauty Rundown | October 2017 ft. Viviscal Gorgeous Growth Densifying Range || The Glam Surge
First off, Happy Halloween everyone! As I'm sure you've all been enjoying everyone's halloween blog posts today, how about we take a breather and talk about something not so spooky: haircare! So just a bit of a back story on my hair: before I got pregnant (over 4 years ago), my hair was long, luscious and healthy. After giving birth, my hair started to fall out, which is pretty common, and I went into a panic. A few years later I've tried different shampoos and conditioners to help me get back to where my hair was, but I had no luck. It wasn't until this year that I started taking it seriously and really exploring my hair care options besides shampoos and conditioners. Which brings us to the now.. Viviscal has been a brand on my radar for a while as I always saw ads of it in flyers. So when they got in contact with me to try their stuff, I jumped at it. Let's see if the wait was worth it, shall we?

One thing I noted about this shampoo when I first used it was the scent. It has sort of a floral scent to it. It's a really light scent that isn't as overpowering compared to other shampoos. And I appreciate that a lot. I find that this one doesn't lather as much, so I have to use a generous amount to fully lather all my hair. However, once it's all rinsed out, my hair feels clean and fresh.

The way I like to apply this onto my hair is the way the recommend it on the tube: applying to mid-lengths and ends. I don't know if I've been doing conditioner wrong this whole time, but I really prefer this method. I used to apply conditioner to all of my hair, but I guess it's recommended not to put it at the roots as the conditioner may weigh your hair down and give the appearance of really flat hair. Anyways, this also has a similar scent to the shampoo. It also does it's job well and my hair feels super smooth and tangle free after using this.

This one has to be my favourite out of the three. This thing here is a leave-in treatment that's supposed to give the appearance of thicker-looking hair. First off I just want to say that this smells fricken amazing. Contrary to my initial reaction, I thought this would leave my hair looking oily and feeling greasy, but it actually doesn't which surprised me. So what I like to do is pump some product (2-3 times) into my hand, rub it, then run it through my hair after I take a shower. I'm sure it's a mix of all products used together, but I really want to give a lot of credit to this one as my hair looks so much better than it did before I started using them.

Overall, I'm extremely impressed by all of these products. My hair looks and feels more healthier than it has ever been in the past 4 years. A thing to note is that the formulation contains growth stimulating ingredients that fight against hair loss, such as Biotin, Keratin and Zinc – which protects your hair against daily stress factors, locks in colour, prevents damage due to heat-styling and overall helps to rebalance the scalp thereby creating the ideal environment for healthy hair growth. I'm definitely going to continue using these products and I can definitely say that the the wait was worth it.

Products marked with a (*) were sent to me for consideration. All opinions are my own.
