New In Haircare | Schwarzkopf

When it comes to beauty, haircare comes last on my list. I never really paid attention to hair products and always used whatever was in my shower. That was a few years ago when my hair was long, silky and 'full'. For the past year or so, my neglect towards the hair products that I used really started to show. My hair is now flat, thin, and even shedding a ton. After the realization of how much has changed, I decided to finally start caring more about what I put into or on my hair.

A few weeks ago, a heavy box showed up on my doorstep from ChickAdvisor. It included 3 products from Gliss and 2 from Got2b which both fall under the company of Schwarzkopf. I figured that this was a great time to dabble more into the haircare side of beauty. Here are my thoughts and experiences with each of the products I received..

Gliss Hair Repair Extra Volume Shampoo* | Whenever I see the word "volume" on any hair product, I automatically think it's a joke. Pretty much all of the volumizing products I've tried in the past have been a total fail as none of them ever worked on my hair. However, this has changed the game for me. I've been using this religiously for a whole month now and I see a huge difference with my hair. It's more full, thick and, dare I say it, a bit more volumized. All I need to say is that I'm a fan and will continue to use this.

Gliss Hair Repair Extra Volume Conditioner* | I was never one to use conditioner regularly, but since I received this one, I thought I'd use it as much as I can. Using this in conjunction with the shampoo, I do notice that it still contributes to the volume I get after washing my hair. It's not heavy and doesn't leave my hair greasy. Instead my hair is always soft and super easy to comb through after washing - something I struggle with because of my long hair.

Gliss Hair Repair Extra Volume Lift-Up Spray* | Out of the three Gliss products, this has to be my least favourite. You're supposed to spray this into your roots while your hair is damp and it should add volume for after you style/blow dry your hair. I don't like this at all, to be completely honest. It leaves my hair feeling really gritty. It counters the easiness to comb through from the conditioner as it gives my hair such a weird feeling.

Got 2b Volumaniac Bodifying Hairspray* | Hairspray is one of those things, that I need but hate how they feel on my hair. I hate it when hairsprays make my hair super hard, but I guess those are things you have to sacrifice when you want your hair to actually hold. Unfortunately, this is one of those hairsprays. But fortunately, it does hold hair very well! It smells really pleasant as well.

Got 2b Volumaniac Bodifying Mousse* | Right off the bat, I just want to mention that I'm not the biggest user of mousse. I remember my mom using it all the time when I was younger. I would always squeeze some into my hands being the curious child that I was. Like I said, I don't use mousse much as I don't find the need for it. I believe that mousse is more suited for people with curly hair, so I didn't use this much. All I can say is that, just like the hairspray, this smells pleasant but it also leaves my hair hard. I'll be passing this one onto a friend.
