Vacation Makeup Favourites

It's been almost 2 weeks since I came back from the Philippines. The withdrawal is real right now, folks! The weather change has been so depressing. Imagine going from wearing shorts to wearing sweatpants in less than 24 hours.. Oh how much I despise the cold. Speaking of weather change, with change in climate comes a makeup switch up. Here are the beauty bits I used pretty much everyday while on vacation:

If you know anything about the Philippines, you probably know how hot it is over there. I mean one day it was damn near 45ºC/113ºF.. I don't think it's ever gotten that hot in Toronto, well from my experience at least. So you could imagine the major switch up I had to make to my routine. With the heat came a ton of sun and with a ton of sun came a bit of a tan on my part. In a short while, I was no longer able to wear my normal foundation so I turned to the one that always comes clutch in the Summertime - the IT Cosmetics CC Cream+. I have it in a slightly darker shade and that's what I would use when I wanted full coverage. However, considering how hot it was, full coverage wasn't always the best option so on most days the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer gave me enough coverage to be satisfied with without feeling heavy on the face. Before leaving for vacay, I picked up my free birthday gift from Sephora which included the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Paaarty. It's such a pretty shade and I couldn't get enough of it. Of course I had to get my glow on so every time the sunlight hit my face, I'd blind everybody over there (jks). To achieve that, I pretty much used Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal everywhere. Well, not everywhere, just on my cheekbones, tip of the nose, inner corner of the eyes, and brow bone!

Something that didn't switch out of my routine was the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. Seriously, this has to be the best mascara I've tried and I promise I don't say that because of the hype. It really is the only mascara that does more than a decent job on my short, stubborn lashes. During my stay in the Philippines, I hit up the mall and saw that they had the brand Jordana Cosmetics. I remember a bunch of beauty gurus talking about their lip liners at one point, but at that moment, I couldn't for the life of me remember which line it was from so I just opted for their Easyliner in Rock N Rose. It's such a pretty shade that's perfect for every day wear plus it's retractable & who doesn't love that? Lastly, the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray was the ultimate lifesaver during my stay. I'm sure I used the to spritz my face at least 5 times a day to refresh myelf. Despite that, I still have half a bottle left & it's a travel-size. I'm impressed!

Which bits do you make sure to have on hot holidays?
