Five Faves | Maybelline

If you could recall, I wrote a previous post on my five faves from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I'm actually planning on making "Five Faves" a series where I talk about my top five products from a specific brand. Today, I'll be sharing my favourites from one of my preferred drugstore brands: Maybelline. While looking for the next brand to write about, I realized I had a lot from them that I used regularly. Here are my five faves:

Not only is this my favourite foundation from the brand, it may just be one of my favourite foundations ever. The formula isn't too thick nor too runny. It goes on smoothly and give me such a beautiful finish on the skin. I wouldn't say it's completely matte, more of a semi-matte finish. This does have my skin looking powerless though (but I don't have really large pores to start with). Maybelline nailed it with this foundation. It's almost nearing the end of it's life, but I'm jumping at the chance to repurchase it because it's just that good.

This concealer in conjunction with the next concealer I'm going to be mentioning are just a dream! By itself, it's a nice, lightweight concealer that acts like a highlight to brighten my under-eyes and the high points of my face. Some people hate this one because of the sponge tip applicator, but I personally don't mind it at all. What I really like about this one is that it's a twist-up, so there's no chance of wasting any product.

Compared to the concealer above, this one is much more pigmented so I like to use it under the eyes as well for more coverage. The formula is creamy and blends amazingly into the skin. I honestly think I'm on my third or fourth tube of it already. I run through them like crazy, but since they are at drugstore price, I don't mind. Unlike the Instant Age Rewind, it's a tube so there is a chance that you're wasting product since the wand can't reach every part of the tube. Nonetheless, it's still an amazing concealer & I highly recommend it.

I can't believe how late I was to the party with this one. Literally everyone talks about how amazing this is and I was actually recommended to try this by a friend a few years ago (shame on me for not listening to her!). This has to be one of the best mascaras I've tried. It actually lengthens and volumizes my lashes. It does what some high end mascaras couldn't do & I was really impressed by that.

I think this was one of the most raved about shades a year or two ago. It's such a gorgeous mauve-rose shade. I tend to always lean towards that shade range, so there was no hesitation to pick this up. Though it's a matte lipstick, it feels really comfortable on the lips and the pigmentation is not lacking at all.
