Asian Skincare | Naruko Canada Tea Tree Series

One of the best things about being a blogger is discovering new brands. If I wasn't a part of the blogging world, I don't think I would of ever got into Asian skincare. So when Naruko Canada contacted me to try some of their products, I jumped at the chance to finally dabble into the world of Asian skincare.

I received a few bits from both their Tea Tree series and Rose & Botanic series, but today I'll be focusing on the Tea Tree series. This series is meant to refresh your pores, control shine and prevent acne. I wish I could tell you more facts, but most of the website is in a language that I don't understand & google translate is very unreliable. All I can offer you are my thoughts & opinions on the products I've been trying out.

Purifying Clay Mask & Cleanser in 1* | This one reminds me of the St. Ives scrubs. It's a mask/cleanser that you apply evenly onto the face and let it sit for a few minutes as a mask before gently washing it off as a cleanser. I find this cleanser really refreshing and find that it does a good job cleansing my skin. As a mask, it doesn't feel too tight on the skin as it's rather comfortable. When rinsing it off, there's a bit of grit to it which may help in exfoliating.

All in all, I'm a fan of this one. It does soak up my oils, so it's claim to control shine is true. My skin is normal/combo, but with the weather on the cold side, my skin is a little drier this time of year. With that said, I make sure to go in with a good moisturizer so that my skin doesn't get too dry. I also noticed that this helped control breakouts. I tend to breakout only when I'm nearing that 'time of the month', but when using this, the breakouts were very minimal and I believe this (in conjunction with the next product) really helped out with that.

Shine Control & Blemish Clear Toner* | I haven't used a toner in so long, but this year I've already tried a total of three, including this one. I find that this one has a pretty strong scent, I can't tell if it's an alcohol smell or tea tree scent (I have no idea what tea tree smells like). It's not something I really mind as it's not a smell that lingers throughout the day. Like I mentioned above, I think this is something that really kept my skin clear & blemish-free during mother nature's visit.
Shine Control & Blemish Clear Night Gelly* | This Gelly is something you should use mainly at nighttime. On the website, this is said to have super oil absorption, anti-acne, deep moisturize, and highly soothing properties to relieve dryness and restore fresh, clear skin. When I first applied this, all I could think about was how cooling it felt on the skin. It's a gel texture but in no way does it feel sticky. After wearing a full face of makeup for a ton of hours, cleansing it all off feels great, but slathering this on afterwards feels even better.

If you're curious to try out some of these goodies, Naruko kindly allowed me to offer a $10 discount to my readers when using the code V5071RKF1NO at checkout.

Products marked with a (*) were sent to me for consideration. All opinions are my own.
