February Makeup Menu

And the shopping of my stash continues... I've actually been really enjoying this as a bunch of the makeup in my collection have been on rotate. I find that switching products in and out each month help me show love to all my bits instead of turning to the same ones every time. I've kept a few of the same products in my routine, but here are the new additions:

For primer, I'll be pulling out the NYX Angel Veil Primer again. I mentioned in this post how similar it was to the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and since I haven't gotten around to repurchasing the HG one yet, this will do. The foundation that I'll be using and abusing this month is the L'oreal Infallible Pro-Glow to keep on with this year's healthy glow trend (see this post). I feel like the hype for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit was loud, but it died down really fast. I've not heard much about it lately and I can't remember the last time I used it. I much prefer the KVD contour palette to it, but I'll be taking it out for this month to see if it really was just overhyped. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette will also be getting some love during the month of love. I love how subtle and natural these powders look as a highlighter and I always find myself going back to them time and time again. I also received a deluxe sample size of the CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops. I've heard a lot of talk about it, so I'm excited to give it a try.

Onto eyes, my eyebrow routine is pretty much the same as last month's, but what has changed is that I'm going to be giving eyeshadow primer a go. I've always skipped it but I just want to see if it actually makes a difference. The one I'll be using for this 'experiment' is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. A few months back, my cousin gave me a MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo which I'll be finally putting to use. The newest additions to my collection are the Bite Beauty Lip Pencils*. I'm a big fan of the nude shade and I'll be using it a ton. The formula is extremely creamy and pigmented - more on that soon!

Products marked with a (*) were sent to me for consideration. All opinions are my own.
