The Minimal Jewelry Edit
As a person who doesn't like to wear much jewelry, I must admit that adding a few pieces to your outfit can make a huge difference. I'm not saying you have to go all out with a big statement necklace, though if that's what you prefer, go for it. But in my opinion (and preference), all you need is a simple bit of jewelry to transform your getup and here are some of my favourites -
One of the pieces I've been wearing a ton lately is the little heart locket pictured above. It's actually my daughter's, but she doesn't like wearing jewelry, so I kinda took over it. It's a really dainty piece with a super thin chain. It's pretty short as the heart lays where my collarbones end. I love pairing it up with a black velvet choker. Speaking of chokers, I picked up this gold one from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago. It has to be one of my favourites out of my choker collection. It looks good with pretty much every outfit.
Moving onto earrings: the circle one's in the first photo, I purchased a few years ago from Forever21 (similar). Normally, I don't throw on any earrings. The only time I'll wear some is when I have a special event to attend that I want to get all fancy for. But for some reason, I don't mind putting these on for regular days. They're just so simple and don't look too flashy, which is a look that I'm a really big fan of.
It's been a while since I purchased some new earrings, so when Happiness Boutique reached out to me, I jumped at the chance. I picked out the two lovely pieces pictures above. The one on the left is the Black Octagonal Prism Ear Studs*, while the one on the right is the Modern Lines Earrings in Rose Gold*. I was ecstatic when they came in the mail and was in awe at how stunning they were, despite how minimal they look. I think these are the perfect earrings to wear to special events without overdoing it.
