January Makeup Menu
If you read my last post, you probably know that I've put myself on a spending ban this month. Because of that, I'm going to have to shop my own stash and use the products I already own. On the bright side, it's a great way for me to finally use up the makeup that's been in my collection for the longest time (look forward to an empties post soon!). These are the goodies on the menu this month:
On the newer side, I'm actually going to be using the Too Faced Hangover Primer (review here). This stuff has been so good to my skin during this time of year and I've been loving it! For foundation, I'm pulling out the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. This one found it's way to the back of my drawer because I wasn't the biggest fan of it when I tried it last Summer since it made me look really oily/greasy (even though I have combo/normal skin). Now that it's Winter, it works completely different for me and I'm a big fan. For concealer, surprisingly it's not my infamous duo. I decided to switch it up and use the next big thing - MUFE Ultra HD Concealer and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. I gave the MUFE concealer an honourable mention in this post because I was loving it so much. As for the MAC concealer, I've had it for the longest time and it's just time for me to finish it up. It was my holy grail concealer a few years ago, but after venturing out, that changed. Despite that, I still have to say it's an amazing full coverage concealer. To set all of that, I use the ever-so-popular RCMA No Colour Powder.
Jumping back on the Too Faced train, I'm using the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer to add some colour back to my pale winter skin. Using the Morphe M527 brush to apply this makes me so happy, it might just be my favourite part of doing my makeup at the moment. To chisel my face, I'm pulling out the KVD Shade + Light Contour Palette. I have no idea why I put this one away, but it definitely isn't going back inside my drawer for a long, long time. To highlight, the MUFE Pro Light Fusion Highlighter in 02 will be serving me. It really is such a beautiful highlight and it looks amazing on the skin. As for my cheeks, I'm getting that little flush from Nars Goulue. I received it in my Sephora VIB Rouge welcome kit. It's a pretty, pigmented, bright rose blush.
Moving onto the eyes, I'm still using the same products I always mention but instead of the ABH Duo Powder, I switched it out for the Dip Brow Pomade. I used it again for the first time in a while and I was taken aback at how good it made my brows look. I'm obsessed, again. For eyeshadow, I've been using MAC Eyeshadow in Soft Brown on the crease and the Elf Smudge Pot Cream Shadow in Cruisin' Chic on the lid. I'm skipping eye liner this month and going straight in with the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. Last but not least, on the lips will be MAC Velvet Teddy. So many people talk highly about this one and I'm here for it. It's a pretty "your lips but better" shade on me. And that's all to it.
