Most Loved Beauty Products of 2016

Twenty-sixteen is finally coming to a close. Since deciding to become a beauty blogger earlier this year, I've been exposed to so many new (and a ton of well-known) beauty brands and products. I'm pretty sure 2016 is the year I've used and sampled the most products compared to any other year. Now that this beauty-filled year is ending, it's time to reflect on my most used bits..

If you've been a long time reader of mine, you already know I have to give a huge shoutout to the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. That stuff had my back through the good times and the bad. I've mentioned it multiple times throughout the year and I've repurchased it once or twice within 12 months. The foundations I found myself going back to numerous times are the EX1 Invisiwear Foundation and the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. They're both some of the best foundations I've tried despite their price point. Moving on to concealers, my fave duo had to make another appearance - the Maybelline Fit Me & Age Rewind Concealers. Besides those two, a concealer that I've been using a ton lately is the MUFE Ultra HD Concealer. One more to add is the ABH Concealer, which I use to clean up my eyebrows. I pulled it out after running out of the Age Rewind and I fell back in love with it, so I thought it deserved a mention. As for setting powder, the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder takes it. I've used it non-stop this year and have only recently finished it up.

The two bronzers that I've been switching back and forth from are Benefit Hoola Bronzer and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. Both have never let me down and I'm surprised I haven't hit pan on either one of them despite the amount of times I've used them. Throughout a 12-month timespan I managed to bounce from contour product after contour product, but I'd say the Makeup Geek Contour Pans got the most love from me this year. Onto blush, of course MAC Harmony gets a shoutout. As for highlighters, I've used a crap load this year but they fight is definitely between Becca Opal & Champagne Pop (surprise surprise).

I couldn't go without mentioning my eyebrow goodies that rode out for me during the year. My brows would have been a complete mess without the ABH Brow Definer, NYX Micro Brow, ABH Brow Powder Duo, and Benefit Gimme Brow. They're definitely all riding the wave with me in the coming year. As for eyeshadows, despite getting them pretty late in the year, the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette and Morphe 35OM Palette take the cake. I've used them absolutely non-stop since I got them. Another new one to the family, but I feel deserves a big mention is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. Before finding this, I would almost never wear mascara, just falsies. Nowadays, I've been getting a ton of use out of it and love the way it transforms my lashes. Speaking of falsies, my favourite of all time has to be the Ardell Demi Wispies, which I've repurchased a ton of times this year and will always reign supreme in my books.

I'm sure other beauty bloggers would have a ton of products to mention when it comes to lips, but I don't have much. I have a ton of lipsticks/liquid lipsticks/lip glosses, but when it comes down to it Kat Von D's Lolita & Bow N Arrow are the only ones that I've been pulling out season after season, month after month. And I'm so sure all my readers are tired of hearing about them. Aside from that, the Dior Creme de Rose Lip Balm has been a staple for me and so has MAC Stripdown Lip Liner. Last but certainly not least, I have to pay respects to MAC Fix+. I've literally used this stuff ALL year 'round, and I'm pretty sure I'm on my 3rd bottle of the year.
