How To Beat The Blogging Funk
Surely every blogger's hit a writing stump some time in their lives. Admittedly, I've almost given up on blogging a few times. But before throwing in the towel, I think about how far I've come with my blog and all the good things brought to my life because of it. I immediately try to find ways keep my blog running. Here are some of the things that help me:

When I can't be bothered to read blogs or don't want anything to do with blogging, I'll flip through a magazine or watch some youtube videos. Magazines have a bunch of articles that you don't normally see in the blogging world, and those usually spark ideas for fresh post ideas. YouTube videos are also good for stimulating creativity. A lot of YouTubers come up with such different ideas that you can definitely put your own spin on.

One reason why you may not be motivated to blog is because you're bored of seeing the same old thing on your site. I've changed things around on my blog plenty of times that I can't even count, and I've only been blogging for less than a year. If this is the case, check out this post, where I share 5 ways you can revamp your blog.

Another way to get out of that blogging rut is to go through your older posts. Doing update posts or turning it into a new series is always a good idea. For example, a while ago I created a "Makeup Look" series using the different Urban Decay Naked Palettes (here, here & here)Also, it's a great way to resurface those older posts by linking them in the newer posts you create.

If the above ideas failed to motivate you, read 'blog post ideas' by other bloggers. I always turn to those when I'm stuck. You can copy the ideas or, if you're creative, you can take the idea even further and make it your own. For instance, you can take the 'What's In My Bag' idea and turn it into 'What's In My Overnight Bag' - things you'd take with you to a sleepover.
