A Day In My Life + Mini Haul
Here's to a Girls Day Out! Last week, my friend asked me if I wanted to come along with her to go on a little shopping trip. I gladly accepted and brought along my little one with me.
The day started off with Kayla & I taking the bus for once. We usually have someone drive us on our outings, but since everyone was busy that day, we decided to take the 2 minute bus ride to the mall. After meeting up with my friend, the first store we hit up was, no surprise, Sephora. I, for once, behaved and didn't buy anything as I knew the VIB sale was coming up. No one is trying to spend more money than you need to be, am I right? However, I did take that time to scope out things that I planned to purchase during the sale.. A haul is coming very, very soon.
Next on the list, and the main reason I wanted to go to the mall, was for a moisturizer. I intended on buying this Neutrogena moisturizer that my boyfriend's dermatologist recommended to him. After trying his out, I decided to pick up my own. BUT at the last minute, as I was about to take the little box and checkout, one of the dermatologists at the drugstore stopped me. She went on about how the moisturizer I was about to buy was full of ingredients that I should be wary of, then went ahead to show me a better option. Long story short, I gave in and bought the cream that was double the price of the product I initially aimed to buy. (More on that later)
After, we went on to Victoria's Secret and Lasenza as my friend wanted to pick out some lingerie. About probably more than an hour and a half, she walked away with a really cute bra and panty set. Following that, I also wanted to buy some new boots for my little girl. I went in for one pair, but me being an impulsive buyer walked out with two pairs. I can explain though. I picked out these winter boots, that look sort of similar to Uggs, but then I saw these adorable OTK boots that I just couldn't pass up. My friend decided that it would be a great idea to snap some 'candid' photos of us with Kayla rocking her new boots. - Please tell me how cute they are so my purchase can me justified!
For the last stop of the day, we went into Lush. From the last time I went (post here), I was just itching to go back and get some more bits. Little Kayla loves going in there and exploring all their products. Her favourites are their bubble bars. More than an hour and many nose aches later, I did come out with 3 Lush goodies. I picked up two bubble bars from their Christmas collection and one bath bomb. Santasaurus and Magic Wand were the two bubble bars that were too adorable to pass up, plus they smell amazing. I was also looking for a fun bath bomb and Twilight was the one my friend at Lush recommended to me. (All pictured above)
Above is the cream the dermatologist picked out for me. It's the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light. They actually had holiday sets out that were better value, so I opted for the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Gift Set. The other two products included in this set are the Aqualia Thermal Boosting Essence Water and Aqualia Thermal Night Spa. I've been using it for less than a week now, so I can't give a review just yet, but so far I'm really liking all three of them.
What was an exciting event that happened for you last week?
