A Lush Haul
There's officially a local Lush store near me! And by 'local' I mean a 5 minute walk from my house. Can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing (for my pocket) yet. I have a small confession though.. It was my first time actually going in longer than 5 minutes and buying something. The only other time I went into a Lush was a few years ago and I went in knowing absolutely nothing. I ended up buying the Bubblegum Lip Scrub, which was actually a good buy. But anyways, fast forward a few years later, it was extremely different this time around.
One of my bestest friends works there actually, which I think made the experience that much better. I mentioned it in a previous post, but I'll mention it again: If you live in Toronto and happen to stop by Lush at Fairview Mall, ask for Angela! I promise you'll have an amazing experience. When I went, she pretty much took me around the store for quick rundown about all their products and let me try out a bunch of stuff. I mentioned earlier that I spent 5 minutes in Lush the first time I went. Well this time around, I spent more than an hour in there just exploring all of their goodies. It was really nice. After all that time, here's what I decided to bring home with me:
'Ocean Salt' Face and Body Scrub / I've heard a lot about this product, even before I entered the beauty blogging world, so it really caught my attention. One of the main reasons why I bought this was exfoliating my body, not so much my face. I'm pretty sure I mentioned previously that I was really lazy when it came to moisturizing my skin, up until this year, and it really took a toll on me. My legs, in particular, were always dry. Over the Summer, I tried exfoliating my legs and it worked wonders for my skin. Bottom line, I needed this.
'Big' Sea Salt Shampoo / A few blogs that I read have mentioned this guy recently and I was really intrigued. I absolutely had no idea that you could exfoliate your scalp?! (Did you know this?!) As of late, I've been struggling with flakes/build-up at my scalp so I picked this up. I've used this once already and let me just say that it cleared everything up! Not only did it take care of my problem, it also smells amazing and gives my hair a bit more volume. I'm so glad I decided to get this.
'The Comforter' Bubble Bar / Months ago, I won a giveaway for some Lush products and in there was The Comforter Shower Gel. I absolutely love the way it smells! Also from the giveaway was a bubble bar, which I thoroughly enjoyed as well. Bubble baths are the best. I decided to buy this because it was a perfect in between of the two. I'm super excited to use this!
Rainbow / When I went on my Lush visit, I brought along my daughter. My friend (who just so happens to be my daughter's god mother) also made it a really fun experience for her. She had a blast playing with bubbles, trying out a massage bar, and holding some shower jellies. My bffl suggested something that she would enjoy at home, the Rainbow. It's sort of like Play-Doh that you can actually play with in the bath. And since my daughter loves Play-Doh, I just had to get it for her. Since we bought it, she's been loving to pick her 'colours' for the day's bath and makes 'potions' out of them (because they dissolve into pretty colours in the water).
I'd love to hear your Lush recommendations! Leave them in the comments, please.
