A to Z of Me | Get To Know Me
Apple Pie - Lately, I've been obsessed with apple pie. Seriously, it's so good! I went apple picking with my family a week ago and there's a bunch of apples just chilling. I think I want to turn it into a homemade apple pie!
Boyfriend - My boyfriend, Darwin, and I have been together for 5 years blissful years. I guess I consider us to be high school sweethearts since we started dating when I was in grade 10 and he was in grade 11. If you want to know more on how we met, I have this post that you could read.
Christmas - It's definitely one of the most happiest times of the year. It's my favourite holiday. I just love picking out presents for my family & friends, gathering for family parties, the food at family parties. It's a busy time, but I'm always excited for it!
Dog - I have a dog and his name is Duke. He's a Shih Tzu & Jack Russell mix. I've had him since 2008, so he's a pretty old guy now. Funny story on how he got his name: At the time, I was obsessed with the movie She's The Man. I sort of, kind of, named him after Channing Tatum's role in the movie. Hahaha.
Explore - I love exploring new places. Though I don't often get to explore as far as I want to, I still find it really exciting to just venture off somewhere out of town to some place I haven't been before. A month or two ago, my boyfriend and I explored this little town, a few minutes from where we live, which I didn't even know existed.
Filipino - I was born in Canada, but my parents are from the Philippines. So yes, I am Filipino! Growing up, my parents tried to talk Tagolog (Philippine's national language) often so that we could learn. I understand mostly everything, but I do have trouble speaking it.
Game Changer - I think a game changer for me, when it comes to makeup, is brow pencils! I have the thinest brow hairs of life. But thank Jesus for brow products. They do absolute wonders for me!
Height - I'm not the shortest (I'd like to think), but I am pretty short. I'm just tall enough to reach the 5 ft. range! Usually, when I'm with a group of people, I'd be the shortest. Ugh, I wish I was taller sometimes. But then again, being short does have it's advantages!
Insects - I hate insects. When I think about it, I don't think there's any insect I actually like. I'll flinch at the sight of any bug near me. Just the other day, there was a spider that decided to crawl all over my laptop screen and I flipped the f*ck out. I had to call my dad to come in and kill it for me.
Jello - Well, it's not just any regular jello, there's a specific jello that I just love! It's green and you can find it in any asian supermarket. But that stuff is just crack, haha. I think it's grass jelly but I'm not entirely sure. Seriously. So. Good.
Kayla - If you don't already know, I have a beautiful 3 year old named Kayla. She came into my boyfriend and I's lives unexpectedly but definitely was the best blessing we could ever have. I have a few posts about her on my blog, which you could take a peep at: here and here.
Long Hair - Before I cut my hair super short a year or two ago, I grew my hair long enough that it was passed my bum. I really wish I could get that length back. It's a work in progress. So far, it's only half way down my back.
Mint Chocolate - I love anything mint chocolate. My favourite ice cream flavour? Mint chocolate. My favourite flavour infused chocolate? Mint chocolate. Anybody else?!
Nicole - An obvious one. My name is Nicole. I don't think there's any significance to my name when my parents gave it to me. I think they just saw it out of a book and liked it. People also like to call me Nikki.
Oldies - Thanks to my dad, who is constantly singing a bunch of these songs, I know a crap ton of old tunes. And strangely enough, I actually enjoy them and sing along. Ironically, they don't get old to me.
Painting Nails - I used to love painting my nails, when I had the time (aka before I had a daughter). I used to do little designs on my nails and everything. Now a days, it's just one wash of colour, which is still totally fine with me.
Quit Job - When I was pregnant, I was sort of keeping it a secret and didn't tell anyone. When I wanted to leave work because of it, I wrote my boss a letter saying that I wanted to focus on school more. If you want to know how this was even possible, I didn't start showing until I was like 6 months pregnant, I believe. And this was around when I was 5 months preg. Btw, if you're curious, I was working at Taco Bell. Mmmmm....
Recess - Does anybody remember this show?! One of the best cartoons ever. I can't remember if they showed it before or after school, but I would try my best not to miss it. Ever. Another great show was The Proud Family! Anybody remember that?
Sushi - Ugh, I love sushi. I'm just drooling thinking about it. I think I'm going to ask my boyfriend to take me out to All You Can Eat sushi soon. Let me know in the comments what your favourite kind of sushi is!
Toronto - I live in Toronto, Canada. I was born here and lived here my whole life. Without being totally biased, it's one of the best cities in the world!
Urban Decay - After cleaning out this drawer in my house, I found a really old Urban Decay palette. I'm pretty sure that was the first ever high end palette I ever owned. It was gifted to me by one of my friends in elementary. Seriously, I used to rock the sh*t out of that palette. I created the best unblended looks ever, haha.
Vacation - Every year, my family and I go on vacation somewhere out of the province. I am so ecstatic for next year's vacay because we're going to the Philippines! I haven't been there since 2010, so I'm super hyped for this trip. Also, it's the first time Kayla's going which is really cool!
Whipped Cream - Does anybody else not like it? I mean the texture just feels so weird in my mouth and it's just too sweet. Whenever I share a frap from Starbucks with the boyfriend, he orders it with whipped cream and I just make him eat it all.
Xylophone - When I was in elementary, I had to choose an instrument to play for music class. At first, I wanted to do flute. It was a little too complicated for me, so I went for the french horn. At the time, I just got braces so it was difficult for me to blow into it. With that said, my last option was the xylophone.
Young - I consider myself pretty young still. I'm only 21 years young!
Zodiac Sign - Seriously...Anything better that starts with 'Z'?! My birthday is on March 22, which makes me an Aries. Anybody else an Aries?!
Have you done this tag yet? I'd love to read it!
