BB5 | The September Box
I haven't subscribed to a beauty box in such a long time. The only subscription I ever subscribed to was Ipsy. I remember how nice it was to just get a bunch of beauty products every month. It was like a little present I got each month. So when I received the September box* from Beauty Box 5, it was really fun!
If you haven't heard of BB5 before, here's a little rundown; It is a subscription service that send you a mix of 5 deluxe samples and full sized beauty products. The items included can be anything from makeup, haircare, skincare, nail polish, fragrances and beauty tools! You can either sign up for a monthly, quarterly, or yearly subscription. The service is currently only available for US & Canadian Residents.
In this month's box, I received:
01. Pur~lisse Blue Lotus Essential Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 | Retail: $55
02. Be A Bombshell Smooth Criminal HD Finishing Powder | Retail: $7
03. Simple Skincare Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes | Retail: $5.99
04. Happy Brands Happy Hair Turban | Retail: $18
05. Go Smile Teeth Whitening Gel | Retail: $29
Out of these items, the Smooth Criminal Powder and Happy Hair Turban are the only full-sized products, with the rest being deluxe samples. Just for reference, a box is $12USD/mo. (if chosen to pay monthly) so just with those two products alone, you're already getting your money's worth.
I was really glad to see that all of the products inside were ones that I've never tried before. I have heard of Be A Bombshell and Pur~lisse but haven't tried anything from them before, so it was nice to finally have the chance to test their stuff out. I'm definitely excited to use the Pur~lisse Moisturizer since I've been looking for a new moisturizer to add to my routine and replace my current. I'm also intrigued by the Go Smile Teeth Whitening Gel. I'll probably do an update on how well that works!
What I like about this box is that they've hand picked a bunch of items that I wouldn't have tried on my own. Honestly, I don't think I would of ever bought the Happy Hair Turban but I'm really glad it was included in this month's box. It's very easy to use and is very effective. I find that it does dry my hair quicker than an actual towel which is super convenient.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with September's Box*. The BB5 is definitely a great subscription box option if you're on a budget and want to explore the beauty world but don't know where to start.
