My Favourite YouTubers

This Summer has been a busy one for me and I have to admit that I've been falling behind with watching all the YouTubers I'm subscribed to. In the Winter, when I'm all couped up in the house, I'm usually on top of all my videos. But since it isn't the season for me to religiously watch YouTube videos, I realized which channels I'm loyal to. When I do have time to watch video, I don't go through the latest uploads. Instead I click on specific channels and that's how I found out which YouTubers are in fact my favourite.

Top Picks | Makeup Brushes & Tools

When it comes to makeup, the product itself can't take all the credit for the look. The brushes you use also need praise (or sometimes, blame) after your work is done. A good makeup brush used correctly can take your look to a whole new level. That's what I found out throughout the past years of being a makeup lover. Over the years, I've collected a bunch of brushes and out of all those, I confidently picked out the ones that I consider to be my absolute favourites.

Travel | Toronto Zoo

Last week, my little family and I decided to make a visit to the zoo. Darwin and I hadn't been there in so long that we actually can't recall the last time we went. Also, it was Kayla's first time to go to the zoo so I thought it would be perfect to catch it all on video! Enjoy watching and please subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Most Used This Month | Lippies

Last month, I was organizing my makeup drawer and realized I had a bunch of lip products that I've been neglecting. I actually went through all my lippies and gave away a bunch of them to family and friends. Since then, I've been trying to bring out a couple of oldies and see how I feel about them now. After doing so, I've really come to fall back in love with a few products. But being the makeup junkie that I am, of course I've purchased some new lipsticks recently. With that being said, here are a the lippies that I've been using non-stop this month.

Current Concealers On Rotation

Being a makeup junkie, I find it crazy that I haven't actually tried a whole lot of concealers. I've probably sampled less than ten concealers since I started loving makeup. From the small amount that I've used and tested, I keep a small rotation of products that I know I love and trust.

Storytime | The Teen Date I Didn't Understand Until Now

I wrote my first "Storytime" a few months ago and got a lot of views on it (here). I wish I could write these more often but I feel like my life isn't that eventful. Then I remembered this memory and I couldn't help but share it with my readers. So here it is; The story of the date I didn't understand until now.

Product Empties #1

I've finally conjured up enough products to make a product empties post. I don't get to finish a lot of items because I don't religiously use a single product. Unless I really like the it or I only have one to use (if you know what I mean). These have been sitting in a bag in the corner of my room for the longest time, so I figured I'd finally share them with y'all.

Boyfriend Explains Beauty Products

I've seen a bunch of bloggers doing this tag. A lot of the answers that men have for these questions are so funny so I thought I would do this with my boyfriend. I hope he's been keeping up with my blog and has been paying attention, haha. Enjoy his answers!

W h a t   i s :
Primer: It's the foundation to the makeup and it makes you glossy.
Foundation: It's the first step to baking (whaaaat?)
Concealer: To conceal pores and ugly stuff
BB Cream: To lighten up the skin tone and a debuffer (what's that?) It's to take away something!
Brow Pencil: For your brows duh. Colour them in
Spooly: It's to clean your brows?
Bronzer: It darkens the tone
Contour: It edges anything out (what do you mean?) Shades you out!
Highlighter: It lightens you up
Blush: It's like pinkish on the skin
Eyeshadow: It's for under the eyes or around it
Loose Pigment: Colour discolouration?
Mascara: Eye lash darkener
Falsies: Fake eye lashes
Lip Liner: It adds colour to around the lips?
Setting Spray: It's for after the makeup to spray all over the face
Strobing: Sounds sexual but is it like a shade?
Multimasking: Putting more than one makeup at a time
Toner: To make you darker
Serum: It's a botox (what the f*ck?!?)
Micellar Water: That's the holy water for after everything is done.... Slay.

Have you done this tag? Drop a link in the comments so I can read it!

Guilty Pleasures

Do you ever find yourself doing something and you just can't stop? Do you ever have a feeling of regret after doing something, but then again you don't really fully regret it? I'm pretty sure that's my mood after enjoying one of my guilty pleasures. Everyone has theirs that they like to indulge in every once in a while (or more often). Here are a few of mine:

Top Picks | Places To Shop Fashion

A week or so ago, I shared my favourite places to shop beauty (here). Today, I'm going to share my preferred places to shop fashion. I only have a few to mention because I didn't include shopping for accessories (shoes, jewelry, etc.) but I could make a post on that if requested. Anyways, I don't often shop for clothing but when I do, these are the stores I usually visit first before any others.

Travel | Road Trip 2016 (Vlog) Pt. III

Here's the last instalment of a three part series. If you've been keeping up with me, then you probably read on my Summer Travel Makeup Bag post that I went on vacation. My family and I went on a road trip towards the eastern part of Canada. We passed by Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI, which was our final destination. The video is a compilation of scenery and activities that we did while on the road trip. Enjoy and subscribe to my YouTube channel!

RECAP
I didn't do much vlogging on the drive home because I pretty much captured any vlog-worthy scenery. We were driving from PEI to Quebec so we slept on the road. But the start of the video was a breath-taking sunset in New Brunswick. We arrived the next day in Brossard, Quebec and got there a little late so we just decided to stay at the hotel and go swimming (which I didn't get any footage of). The day after, my brother and I took the bus to downtown Montreal to do a little damage to our wallets (which I, again, didn't get much footage of). We ended off the day at a Vietnamese restaurant and the next day, we began our trip home. We stopped at Ottawa, where we visited Rideau Hall (residence of the Gov. General of Canada). And that's pretty much it!

Discovering New Scents With Scentbird

I've always drooled over pretty photos of people's perfume collections. I'd wish that someday I would have something like that to show off but I later on figured that I probably wouldn't get to. Buying a bunch of perfumes was never really ideal to me. Mostly because I'm really picky with my fragrances and I just can't justify spending a wad of cash on a small bottle of liquid. When I find a perfume I really like, I just buy the rollerball version since it's travel friendly and doesn't really hurt my pocket.

August Goals & July Update

Wow, July went by so fast and it was a busy one for me. That may or may not be my excuse for failing to complete most of my goals for the month. Let's start with the things that I did achieve: thanks to my road trip and Pokemon Go, I've successfully been going on daily walks. I also did manage to pull out a few oldies from the collection. If you read my Current Foundation on Rotation, then you'd know a few I've been using. I got a trim (June goal) and the hair dresser told me my hair was damaged, so I bought a new shampoo. I'll do a review on that soon! Annnnnd.. that's about all the things I've achieved this month. I failed to read more book because of how busy this month has been, with all the travelling and other stuff (Pokemon Go). Lastly, I didn't get to find any new sunglasses. Mostly because where I travelled to wasn't as warm as I expected it to be, so I didn't feel the need to find any. Hopefully I'll be better in reaching these goals:

Top Picks | Places to Shop Beauty

I have this thing where I can never seem to satisfy my need for more makeup. If you're a beauty blogger, or even just a big makeup junkie, I'm sure you can relate. We can never just have too much! I've come up with my top outlets that help me when I feel the urge to empty out my wallet.

Five Places I Want To Visit

If we were to talk about vacation destinations, I don't think I could say much. I've only been to a handful of places in the US and the only place I've flown to is the Philippines. There's so much in the world that I haven't been exposed to that I want to be exposed to. It was really hard for me to come up with my top five places I dream to visit, but I think I've got it.
