Top Picks | Nudes, Pinks, Reds, Darks
Is there really such a thing as too many lip products? Of course, to all makeup junkies, the answer is no! I have so many lipsticks, lip glosses, liquid lipsticks, etc. in my collection. But today, I decided to share with my readers my favourite lippies from each category: nudes, pinks, reds, and darks.
Nudes | I've really been loving a nude lip lately. MAC Kinda Sexy was probably one of the first nude lipsticks I bought and actually liked. Way back when I was clueless about makeup, I bought nude lipsticks that were way too nude that they made me look like I was sick (lol, I know we've all been there). Another nude I really like is NARS Audacious Lipstick in Barbara. I love the smooth formula of this and the packaging is really nice. ColourPop Lippie Stick in Tootsi was another of my favourite nudes last year. When I started getting new lippies, I just chucked this in my drawer. I recently rediscovered it and it's still good enough to make it onto one of my favourite nudes! Another ColourPop product that's made it onto the list is their Ultra Matte Lip in Chi. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow is the newest member of my nude collection. Both of those are the nudes I reach for the most, especially when I want a really matte lip.
Reds | I noticed that I don't have many reds in my stash. Probably because MAC Ruby Woo is, in my opinion, the best red lipstick out there. I especially like this because it has a blue undertone that makes your teeth appear whiter than usual. Sometimes I like to go a bit darker with ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Rooch.
Darks | I feel like I've mentioned this one in a lot of posts, but I seriously love MAC Stone. It's a nice greyish brown. I think it's a step down from ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Limbo. Limbo is a really rich chocolate brown (and a great dupe for Kylie Cosmetics True Brown). Another good dark lip from ColourPop is their Ultra Satin Lip in TooLips. That and Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lip in Vampira are really nice colours for Fall.
Pinks | Last, but certainly not the least, pinks. Actually their more rosy than pink. I used to wear more pinkish lips but I grew out of it and moved onto shades that suited me better. Anyways, Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace is a product I always find myself going back to. It's a nice subtle mauve that's perfect to throw on if you're going for a more natural look. The last three products are pretty similar but different in their own way (me trying to justify my purchases). ColourPop Lippie Stix in Lumiere, Ultra Matte Lip in Chilly Chili, and Maybelline Touch of Spice.
