How To | Make 'That Time of the Month' Less Dreadful
I'm not the biggest fan of mother nature's monthly gift (I'm sure most of you girls aren't either). Actually one of my favourite things when I was pregnant was that I didn't get my period for 9 whole months. Ever since I got it back regularly, I've been trying to find ways to make it less of a drag.
This may not be one for others but cleaning certainly helps me get through my period. It takes up a lot of my time and I forget that I'm going through that time of the month. It also keeps me moving so I don't have that certain flood (I'm sorry, TMI.) when I stand up after sitting too long. Baking and cooking can be a great way to keep your mind off it. Use that time to try new recipes that you've been dying to do. Which brings me to the next point, enjoy all your favourite junk foods. Make this your designated cheat day (or week). That will definitely make you feel better. Another good thing to do during that time is to have an at home spa day and pamper yourself. Take a hot shower, do your make up, paint your nails, give yourself a facial. After all, you can still feel pretty even if what your going through isn't so pretty. My last and probably my most favourite thing to do during my time of the month is online shopping. You may not have the motivation to go out and shop but fortunately, you can shop in the comfort of your own home. You bleed for a week, you deserve to spoil yourself!
