Cooking With N, Vol. 1 | Goi Cuon
A new series? Yes. I'll be sharing with you guys some of the
things I've been chef-ing at home (when I feel like it).
Can you guys guess what I'm making?
If you guessed Goi Cuon, you're right. Here's the ingredients I used to make it.
I have some rice vermicelli, shrimp, lettuce, cilantro, mint, cucumbers, bean sprouts,
and rice wrapper (not in the photo)
Isn't this beautiful?! So what I did was dampen the rice wrapper in some warm water. Then I made layers in this order: shrimp, rice vermicelli, cilantro, mint, cucumber, bean sprouts, lettuce.
Next, I wrapped it like how you would normally wrap lumpia. This is the finished product.
Here's more. There was more but of course, my family and myself included could
not wait to eat it. By the way, for the sauce, I used: fish sauce, lime juice,
garlic, sugar, hoisin sauce, peanut butter, and peanuts.
I ran out of shrimp and still had a lot of the other ingredients. So here are some
vegetarian ones, I guess.
And there you have it! My first "Cooking With N" post.
I'll be taking orders soon. (Just kidding, please don't ask)
