Playing Dress Up (ft. Kayla)

Who knew it would be such fun playing dress up?

All modelled by my little one, Kayla, here's my take on different types of styles:

Reaching Our Destination

It was the evening of my 19th birthday, March 22, 2013. My family, boyfriend, and I had just finished having dinner at Swiss Chalet. We brought Darwin to work before going home. I was just about settled in bed when something strange happened.

Makeup Look: Drugstore Products

Here's the look I came up with using drugstore/affordable makeup products.

I had driving lessons this day so I couldn't get too crazy.

Travel | Philippines 2010

Greetings! I managed to gather a few photos from the last time I went to the Philippines in 2010. Here's to taking a trip down memory lane..

I didn't find any good photos of when we first arrived.. But here's a picture of the view we had when we were eating lunch at Hundred Islands. My family and I shared a party platter that included eggplant, oysters, grilled bangus, alamang, mangoes, tomatoes, arosep, grilled squid, and shrimp.

This is my dad, brother, and I at Subic Bay. We were on the way to Zambales and had a stop over here. We went into a duty-free that carried an abundance of fake Jordans and Lacoste (from what I can remember). Also, we bought some souvenir bracelets from an old man selling them on a little table around there.

A street somewhere near my dad's place in Sta. Cruz, Zambales. Pretty cool to see my last name made into a street. I don't have any great pictures of my stay in Sta. Cruz, but I do remember a lot of drinking and singing from the men. Also, we visited a beach within walking distance along with my cousins, Michaela (Ikang) and Michael (Batotoy).

After a short visit to my dad's place, we went straight to my mom's place in Sta. Catalina, Binalonan, Pangasinan. Here's a shot of my dad giving the pigs a hose down. I think he was too excited to be back home because it wasn't their time to bath.. They ended up getting sick. (lol)

Photographed at the side of my mom's house, alongside my cousins Romel and Vincent. The height difference is very sad..

An outing with the littler cousins, Aaron Jay and John Lloyd, to SM Rosales. We spent the day at the arcade, shopping for their new shoes, and eating at Max's Restaurant.

Fun at Long Beach, La Union, with all of my mom's side of the family. I remember my brother, dad, and I helping some fishermen pull a long rope that they used to bring in fish.

A shot of my dad with two Igorots in Baguio. During our visit to Baguio, we climbed a bunch of stairs to visit a shrine. Then we went to some booths that sold weird souvenirs. Like the infamous "man in a barrel" (every filipino should know what that is). After that, we went to an area that had some entertainment. I got to drink some taho there as well, one of my faves.

This is way after our stay at Pangasinan. I'm not too sure what happened in between. However, here's a photo of me at a resort in Indang Cavite. (I pray that one day I get this body back, lol) We were with my dad's side of the family this time, all of us. This place had many swimming pools and also had caged monkeys that would snatch leaves out of our hands.

At Tagaytay. I'm pretty sure this was near the unfinished presidential mansion for former President Marcos. (Thank you Google & Dad for the facts)

My beautiful cousins (and Tita Mila & cousin's ex-gf), from my dad's side, at Enchanted Kingdom. A small amusement park but still tons of fun. I recall everyone going on a water ride multiple times hoping someone besides ourselves would get soaked.

And the boys! Outside of Enchanted Kingdom because we got there way too early.

One of my dad's favourites. A comedy club that we went to in Manila. We got a whole balcony for our family. Sorry, I seriously cannot recall what happened that day, lol.

Last few days in the Philippines. We got to spend Christmas there. Here's a shot of a few of my cousins and I hanging out. And two of them downing a bottle of San Miguel (?).

Anotha one.

And that's it folks! A bunch of happy memories made in a short amount of time (a month). Reliving these through pictures makes me want to go back so bad. Hopefully I get the chance to bring my little family to the Philippines to make newer memories, but not forgetting the old.

Vlog (How Well Do You Know Me?)

I realized I didn't state the instructions clearly. But basically how the game goes:
We have a set of questions and we have to both write our answers on a paper.
The goal is to get the same answer to prove that we know each other well.
Enjoy!

Makeup Vanity

Greetings!

Every girl (or most) dreams about having a big vanity to do their makeup in. Unfortunately, not everyone is rich and can afford their dream makeup station. But we can try.

Here's my take on an affordable makeup vanity.

This whole thing takes up a small corner in my room. Since it is a shelf and it is placed fairly high, I could still store stuff below it if I wanted to.

I do love this space, but I do have one issue with it. Because it's in a corner of the room, it does not have a lot of lighting. With that said, I plan on buying a wall lamp or something to fix that problem.
